I half considered giving this 4 star since I do not live as close as I like. :) Walking in you are presented with several small restaurants, along with a common seating area. There are also some non-food related shops. I believe these restaurants are independent of the shopping center, but they are varied and usually good quality. Entering the market proper, you are presents with many freshly prepared baked goods with both sweet and savory offerings. After that, you have to huge fresh veggie section to your right, some in house made prepared food to the left (with some really good prepped meat selections). After that there are plenty of uncooked meats, frozen and fresh available, in addition to OTC butcher options. The rest is a vast selection of dried/canned/pickled selection of almost any Asian type. With a myriad of noodles. I will say that the Indo options are limited. There is also a large selection of frozen items. If you like dumplings, you may be overwhelmed by their selection. A wonderful place for Asian offerings

Was in plainsboro and googled this place.. I actually wanted to eat something but saw most of the chinese restaurants inside this asian shop. Went in and it was good . Lots of asian food, bakery , cakes etc. cakes were good . Got a mango mousse cake and it was good . Shopped in few other things . Service was good . Pricing wise it was ok. Lots of parking outside . Good location, very close to all other shops .

They have a wide variety of foods and Chinese pastries. The roast pork buns are the best I've ever had. Fresh and full of roast pork. The egg custard tarts are very good too. My husband loves them. Pastries are made fresh in house. This supermarket sells a wide variety of Chinese vegetables. They also sell a large selection of Chinese products, such as sauces, condiments, noodles, meats raw and cooked. Practically any Asian ingredient your looking for can be found here. Prices are slightly higher than other Asian markets I've been too though.

Meidong Supermarket is the largest Chinese Market near Princeton University. A few years ago, it moved to the current plaza, which is bright, spacious, and well stocked. The cooked -food section is especially impressive—every dish is delicious and truly comparable to restaurant-quality meals. Inside the plaza of the supermarket, the food court features four different restaurants as well as the well-known bubble tea shop, GongCha. Each restaurant has its own unique flavors, and they all offer dishes I really enjoy. I highly recommend giving them a try! 😋”
